Scandalous
The Cross of Jesus Christ is beyond Controversial. It's Scandalous. The Perfect Man, Jesus Christ, was slain by Us. If Christ died for being perfect, will not Christians be martyred as well?

K I N G
"King." What a Kingly word. I love that powerful word. I serve the King of Kings. Can't see Him but man I love Him and I know He loves me. Meditate on that. Your King loves you. More than you can fathom. You need proof? Research the attrocity of the Cross and the complete abandonment Christ felt when his Father turned away from His one and only beloved Son whom he loved perfectly and treasured with all his heart. God our King, Father and Savior turned his back on his Son leaving him alone on the cross, but not only that; He poured out his Complete and Holy Wrath on his own Son as a propitiation for our sins. Unbelievable. How about that for Love. God died and suffered the torment of his own creation and more painfully endured the perfect wrath of God to destroy Death and Sin once and for all to Save us all from Hell.
[17 ] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. [18 ] All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; [19 ] that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. [20 ] Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.[21 ] For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
(2 Corinthians 5:17-20; 2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV)

What would Jesus Do?
or
What has Jesus Done? And live in light of that Amazing Cross in the power of the Holy Spirit.
I don't have the ability to do what Jesus did but I can attempt to live like Him grateful for what He has done with His power being formed slowly and painfully in a sanctifying way into His Image.

Delight and true religion are as allied as root and flower; as indivisible as truth and certainty; they are, in fact, two precious jewls glittering side by side in a setting of gold.

"Tis when we taste Thy love,
Our joys divinely grow
Unspeakable like those above,
And heaven begins below."

Grace
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
